A new airline has been born, just called LATAM. The rebranding comes three years after the Santiago-based company, formerly known as LAN Airlines, merged with Brazil's TAM to create the region's largest carrier.
While the airline has unveiled its new logo it says it is not ready to share images of its new aircraft livery and staff uniforms. The carrier says it will unveil the new colour scheme in the first half of 2016 with the summer Olympics hosted in Rio de Janeiro.
The carrier’s first A350 is due late this year but it will be in the current livery. the airline is planning to debut its new livery before the 2016 Summer Olympics, which is being held 5-21 August.
LATAM also has LAN subsidiaries in Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador, which will be folded into the LATAM brand. www.latamairlinesgroup.net
