Flybe Management Changes

Paul Simmons, Chief Commercial Officer at Flybe, is to leave the company in mid-January 2016 to take up a role with Malaysian Airlines based in Kuala Lumpur. See also "easyJet and Flybe financials"

Following Paul's departure, Flybe will move to a new commercial organisational structure.  The Chief Commercial Officer role will be split into two, with both new roles sitting on the Operating Board and reporting to CEO, Saad Hammad.

The first role is to head Network Planning and Development, establishing this as a separate function.  This is to ensure that as Flybe drives network expansion, new route investment decisions and route performance management are given the highest level of focus and visibility.  The second role is to lead the remaining commercial teams, which include Sales and Marketing and Customer Care.

Saad Hammad, CEO of Flybe, commented:  "Paul joined Flybe in 2013 (from easyJet) and has had a strong impact in improving our customer proposition and refreshing our brand presentation.  He has been offered a great role at Malaysian Airlines and will be with us for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.  We would like to thank Paul for his leadership, contribution and commitment to Flybe over the past two years. We wish him and his family well for the future."    www.flybe.com
