Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) plans to resume flights to Sydney after more than a 15-year gap. Previously the service went via Brisbane operating a Boeing 747 in a two-class layout, the aircraft with a First Class section open to Business Class passengers on a first come first served basis.
ANA said that it would restart daily overnight Tokyo Haneda – Sydney flights beginning 11 December, served by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
The aeroplanes are configured with 48 Business, 21 Premium Economy and 146 Economy Seats.
Reservations for the service will open in August, ANA said.
Sydney is the fourth addition to its route network announced this year after Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Brussels. www.ana.co.jp
