Due to open very shortly is the NY-LON lounge bar at O2. It is sponsored by partner airlines Delta and Virgin Atlantic who are the official carriers for the Greenwich Peninsula sited complex. Delta recently announced the continuation of its English Champions, Chelsea Football Club, tie-up and with it the Delta 360° Lounge at Chelsea’s Millennium & Copthorne Hotel (open all week – not only on match days). The airline has a number of lounges at American sporting venues.Honouring the airlines’ important New York – London route, the aviation-themed lounge bar will combine the best of both brands to deliver a unique experience to O2 visitors.
Virgin Atlantic and Delta have partnered with Manchester-based design agency, Love, to create the 6,000sq ft space. NY-LON has capacity for up to 400 guests and features a large bar and seating area, plus a “secret space” for meetings, private dining or small events.
NY-LON will feature offerings highlighting both New York and London inspired cuisines, as well as aviation-themed cocktails. It will be open seven days a week offering a luxurious bar with a difference. Members of the airlines’ frequent flyer programmes, Flying Club and SkyMiles, will benefit from a range of discounts and special offers. www.ny-lon.london
