Dublin to Geneva

Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) has launched a new service connecting Dublin and Geneva.  Four weekly flights will be flown to Geneva.

All the airline’s flights from Dublin are operated with the A320 Airbus offering around 150 seats. Swiss continues to develop its product and services to the western part of the country under its “Next Generation Airline of Switzerland” strategy.  The additions will bring its Geneva network to 42 non-stop destinations.

“In opening our new route between Dublin and Geneva, we are responding to a clear demand on the part of both our leisure and our business customers,” explains Felix Rodel, Director for UK and Ireland at Swiss.

The Dublin Ambassador Marie-Claude Meylan said: “I’m very pleased to see Swiss adding a new route from Dublin to Geneva, enhancing the business and tourism links between Ireland and Switzerland.  This route will complement the existing daily Swiss flight to Zurich and provide a more convenient connection for passengers from the Geneva area.”

Swiss, has also announced it figures for the first six months of 2015, carrying 7,778,125 passengers, an 0.6% increase on the same period a year ago.  This was achieved despite a 0.9% decline in total flights.   www.swiss.com
