AND FINALLY: Bunker attack

George Osborne announced in the middle of his budget speech that the government had found one million pounds to refurbish the bunker room in Uxbridge (near Heathrow) used as an air control centre in the Second World War.

He described it as “a monument to the heroes of the Battle of Britain and the days when aeroplanes flew freely over the skies of west London.”

The local MP, Boris Johnson, just grinned.  (Is this linked to “A Message etc” in this issue?)
