JW Marriott Venice Resort

Isola delle Rose (Rose Island) is the private island in the Venetian lagoon that the new JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa calls home.  It is now officially open.

The 250 contemporary style rooms of the hotel are divided into four categories: De Luxe, Junior Suite, Studio Suite and Premium Suite.  The resort’s Convention Centre is the ideal venue for any business appointment or promotion event.

There are four restaurants, five bars, a cooking school and wine academy, a rooftop pool, a restored 19th century church and the largest spa in Venice.  The views towards St Mark’s Square, a 20-minute free private shuttle away are tremendous.

The resort of the Isola delle Rose, the first JW Marriott in Italy, is the product of the conversion of a naturalistic and architectural heritage unique in Venice.

The Island of Roses, the youngest in the Venetian lagoon, was created in 1870.  Its position, halfway between the lagoon and the sea, stimulated the growth of plants rare in Venice, such as the olive, and suggested the setting up of a clinic for respiratory diseases at the beginning of the 20th century.  After a fascinating history the clinic closed down for good in 1980.  The multi-million dollar renaissance of the island, and its wonderful gardens is now complete.  www.jwvenice.com
