Cameron’s project dies.
In 2009 the then Opposition leader David Cameron, together with a man called Nick Clegg, planted a tree in the village of Sipson, north of Heathrow, to prove that there was life in the sacrosanct ground.
Well it appears that the ground is not sacrosanct, and could become part of Heathrow’s new northern runway if it gets the go-ahead later this week.
No problem with uprooting the tree.
It has died!
