Emirates closes T3 lounge

There will be no more boarding direct on to the A380 for Emirates Business Class passengers for the next few months.  The airline’s T3 lounge has closed for a major refurbishment.

An Emirates Spokesperson said: “We are overhauling our lounge at London Heathrow to transform the facility into the contemporary, premium service that is more in line with the understated elegance of our new, global lounge style.  The décor in the refurbished Emirates Lounge at London Heathrow will provide a seamless transition to Emirates’ on-board First Class and Business Class services, with a colour palette of neutral, earthy tones that customers have come to associate with Emirates.

“Our priority is always the comfort and satisfaction of our customers, and therefore all passengers travelling in First Class or Business Class will have access to the British Airways Galleries First and Galleries Club Lounges, situated in Terminal 3, during this period. They can still enjoy our exclusive chauffeur drive service for First Class and Business Class passengers and a dedicated airport check-in at London Heathrow.”

The lounge is now also closed for partner airline Qantas Executive Class travellers, who can also use the temporary facility.  www.emirates.com
