Roof-top tea in Oxford Street

London’s Marriott Hotel Park Lane has opened a rooftop food and drinks venue.

‘Roofnic’ is located on the fourth floor of the property with the project being led by members of the team who won an internal competition to transform a space at one of the company’s European hotels.

The entrance to the roof-top bar is at the end of Oxford Street near Marble Arch. The temporary summer space is housed in a white marquee and has AstroTurf flooring, retro furniture and wooden benches as well as communal cushioned seating areas.

It can hold up to 100 people and is open daily from 10:00 until 22:00 regardless of the weather. 

The John Lewis rooftop garden, also in Oxford Street, introduced last year and proved very popular.  It is open from noon every day until the store closes. www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/lonpl-london-marriott-hotel-park-lane
