Milan hotel

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the multi-million Euro full restoration of the Excelsior Hotel Gallia, Milan, part of its “Luxury Collection” brand.

The move is part of the American company’s continued strategy to invest in the creation and restoration of its luxury portfolio.

This historic hotel has been one of the most prestigious hotels in Milan since 1932 when it first opened as Palace Gallia.  The Art Deco property sits in its own secluded tree-lined private lane and is within a mile of La Scala Opera House, Poldi Pezzoli Museum and the Royal Palace in the heart of Milan.  It offers 235 guest rooms including a collection of 51 themed suites.

Milan’s largest hotel spa offers guests with treatments in a luxurious setting illuminated by natural daylight.  Divided across the sixth and seventh floors, its 1,000sq m include an indoor pool, a virtual golf simulator, a hairdresser and barber shop, and relaxation areas featuring a wide range of authentic beauty and wellness rituals.

The grand re-opening coincides with the highly-anticipated Expo Milano 2015, setting a new benchmark in luxury hospitality in the city.  www.excelsiorhotelgallia.com
