Berlin Crowne Plaza

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Berlin – Potsdamer Platz.  The hotel, formerly branded the Wyndham Grand Berlin, is located a 15-minute walk away from Potsdamer Platz, one of the most visited sights in Berlin.

The hotel features 256 rooms including 19 suites, an executive floor with a separate lounge and roof terrace.  It also offers 500mof meeting and event facilities, including eight flexible function rooms and one divisible ballroom which can host meetings and events for up to 250 people.  Additionally the hotel offers 400mof leisure facilities with a spa, fitness area and treatment rooms.

The hotel’s restaurant, The Post, is styled as a French brasserie and specialises in Mediterranean cuisine.  It also features an open show kitchen allowing diners to watch chefs at work, as well as a terrace.

There are currently 83 Crowne Plaza hotels in Europe and a further 14 in the pipeline including Aberdeen, set for later this year (see in this issue).  www.crowneplaza.com
