It was a “Who’s Who” of aviation that gathered in Washington, DC on 17 March for the 14th annual day-long US Chamber of Commerce Aviation Summit.
Every major and low-cost airline was represented during the high-level CEO panel discussions focusing on infrastructure issues and various business models.
The largest display in the Exhibit Hall was Gulf airline Etihad’s full-size mock-up of “The Residence”, a new cabin format aboard the Abu Dhabi carrier’s A380. It features a luxurious bedroom suite with butler service and numerous en-suite amenities. Australian born actress Nicole Kidman was rolled out as Etihad’s US ambassador with a print advertising and TV commercial also being launched this week. Etihad Airways spokesman Peter Baumgartner says, “Nicole Kidman, as a globally respected artist, was the perfect voice and face for our story, and embodies worldly sophistication, intelligence, originality, and elegance – values which form the foundations of the Etihad brand.” www.uschamberfoundation.org/event/14th-annual-aviation-summit
