Incentives safari style

Opening in June this year Makanyi Safari Lodge offers an ideal destination for small top end business incentive trips seeking a striking, unusual, but luxury location.

Guests are spoilt for choice with activities including exhilarating game drives, guided bush walks, fishing and night-time star gazing. With a longer stay, side trips to renowned attractions and activities such as visits to Blyde River Canyon and the Drakensburg Mountains amongst others can be organized.

Comprising eight open plan suites set in 856 hectares of South Africa’s Timbavati, sits adjacent to the sprawling Kruger National Park.  The boutique accommodation is clean and contemporary, cleverly blending into its bush surroundings. It features a number of outdoor terraces, dining room, pool, hot tub, fully equipped gym, and a treatment room for massages.

Building on a keen interest in tourism and hospitality (gained through a degree in hotel management from Lausanne) Makanyi is the brainchild of Anglo-Italian Jessica Gold who was seeking a more natural and sustainable way of life for her 7-year old son so she swapped the London school run for game drives complete with the famous ‘Big Five’.

From £275 per person per night full board. www.makanyilodge.com
