Long successful with its Muscat to Bangkok operation Oman Air will launch services to Singapore and Goa from the 29 March and to Dhaka from August.
Appointed Chief Executive in August 2014 Paul Gregorowitsch said: “The launch of these new services continues our ambitious programme of expansion and follows the highly successful December 2014 introduction to our network of services to Manila and Jakarta.”
Most long haul flights to the East connect with the airline’s Heathrow operation, Muscat a much less busy alternative to the other hubs in the region. The city and locality is also a delightful stopover point.
Oman Air was established in 1993 breaking away from the then Gulf Air multinational. Today it operates a fleet of A330s (10), Boeing 737s (22), Embraer 175s (4) and a pair of ATR 42s. The airline has the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on order with the first aircraft due later this year. www.omanair.com
