Manchester to Barcelona

Vueling, part of International Airlines Group (IAG), is set to launch a direct service to Barcelona from Manchester on 19 June.  It will compete with Jet2, Monarch and Ryanair but unlike these competitors offers a connecting service at what is its main hub.

It is very practical to book a through flight (including luggage) to numerous Mediterranean and North African destinations.

Departures are on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the 2hrs 30mins flight operated by a 180-passenger Airbus A320.

Julio Rodriguez, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) said: “Vueling is one of Europe’s leading low-fare carriers and this new route to Barcelona means passengers from Manchester will be able to visit this top destination during the summer but also reach our other 140 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with our connecting flights.”

Vueling already operates to Barcelona from Cardiff, Edinburgh and Gatwick.  From the end of the winter season, March 2015, it hands over its Heathrow – Bilbao flights to British Airways and will from then onwards serve the northern Spanish city from Gatwick.

As part of IAG Group, Vueling operates on more than 300 routes to 160 cities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a fleet of 90 Airbus A320 series aircraft.    www.manchesterairport.co.uk    www.vueling.com/en
