Already the second largest operator at Ben Gurion Airport Tel Aviv (TLV) easyJet is to introduce an initially three times per week service from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on 30 March.
The new route comes as no surprise with France hosting Europe’s largest Jewish population. The airline already serves around 40 destinations from CDG plus 22 from Paris Orly is a major short haul competitor to Air France.
From TLV easyJet flies to Luton, Gatwick and Manchester in the UK, and Basel, Berlin, Geneva, Milan, Paris and Rome in the rest of Europe.
The airline has a high profile amongst travellers in Israel, the allocated seating announced last year introducing the airline to a new market of passengers previously using legacy carriers. The London (LTN) service is said to be one of the company’s most profitable with extremely high all year round load factors. Kosher sandwiches are on sale and are likely to be replicated for Paris. www.easyjet.com
