Built as the Verta hotel, and opened in September 2010, the Crowne Plaza London – Battersea has joined the ranks of IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group). The rebranded 78-room property is sited by the London Heliport and is located close to Clapham Junction, one of the UK’s busiest railway stations with easy connections to both the centre of London and Gatwick Airport.
For those travelling on business the hotel features 200m2 of meeting space, free wi-fi and ample car parking. For leisure guests the area has many busy nightlife locations and is in easy reach of many of London’s top attractions.
Guests can take advantage of the Verta Spa and gym facilities followed by a relaxing drink in the Terrace bar which overlooks the River Thames.
Diners can watch the chefs in action at the Riverside Grill Restaurant.
The nearest Thames Clipper boat service is at Wandsworth Riverside but in the past a docking station has been suggested, a novel, but quick way to Westminster and central London. www.crowneplaza.com
