Brooklands children’s driving

A hotel in Surrey has taken inspiration from its racing-car heritage to create a family package that gives children a licence to drive parents round the bend this February half-term (14-22 February 2015).


The Family Driving Package combines an overnight stay in the Brooklands Hotel with the unrivalled experience of speeding round a race track in one of Mercedes high-performance AMG vehicles at the neighbouring Mercedes-Benz World facility.

Families can relax in a spacious track-facing family room, before heading to Mercedes-Benz World, where they can get up close to the Mercedes-Benz vehicles and exhibition.  The highlight of the day is a 30-minute driving experience in an AMG for adults.  Children don’t miss out as they have the chance to go off-road behind the wheel of a 4x4 for 30 minutes.  Prices for the “Family Driving Experience Package”, start from £299 for a family of two adults and one child and from £339 for a family of two adults and two children. 

Visitors can take in the Brooklands Museum either before or after their “Family Driving Experience Package” where there are plenty of planes, cars, buses and bicycles (motor and human powered) to see.  The first of the Brooklands Museum Classic Breakfasts for 2015 gets underway at 08:00 on Sunday 15 February.   www.brooklandsmuseum.com   www.brooklandshotelsurrey.com
