British Airways sister carrier Iberia is to fly from Madrid to Edinburgh, Gatwick and Manchester airports next summer. All the routes will be served under the Iberia Express banner.Also new for the Spanish carrier in 2015 are flights from Madrid to Budapest, Hamburg, the Italian cities of Catania, Florence, Naples, Palermo and Verona, as well as to Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
Meanwhile, the airline is strengthening its services to 24 existing destinations, including Lisbon, Mexico City, New York, Tel Aviv, the Canary and the Balearic islands.
Iberia currently flies up to eight times a day to Heathrow T5, while offering another five daily flights on the same route under code-sharing with British Airways. Passengers arriving in Madrid from the UK can continue to any of Iberia’s other 31 destinations in Spain, to Lisbon or Oporto in Portugal, 10 African cities, 16 Latin American destinations, and to three cities in the United States. www.iberia.com
