London City luggage

While quite rightly London City Airport (LCY) has been celebrating the arrival of Flybe last week (See Flybe arrives at LCY in this issue) AirPortr the luggage concierge company, has in collaboration with British Airways introduced a second initiative at LCY (See BTN 26 May)

Called ‘Carousel Collection’ (CC) it means that for the first time customers flying into LCY from Edinburgh (EDI) and Glasgow (GLA) will now no longer have to waste another second waiting for their luggage at the baggage reclaim.  Passengers can simply ‘land & leave’ in order to focus on their day ahead.  AirPortr will pick up the customer’s luggage direct from the carousel and deliver it the same day to a London destination (all London postcodes falling within the London M25).

AirPortr’s claims ‘CC’ drives even further travelling efficiencies and therefore really permits passengers to have a more enjoyable journey and be more productive ending the days of luggage dictating the itinerary.

Executive Club members flying into LCY from EDI and GLA represent two of the top five busiest routes at the airport.  The ‘drops off’ price is £10 and, will be complimentary for British Airways passengers as an introductory offer for the next three months. http://portr.com
