The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 2014 kicks off at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, FL today (20 October).
Approximately 25,000 business aviation industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend and will be able to review 1,100 indoor exhibits featuring the latest in business aviation products, technologies and services, as well as participate in numerous educational seminars. The morning kicks off with a media breakfast and review of the 'No Plane No Gain' advocacy campaign, now in its fifth year. For the first time in Orlando, the show will feature an indoor static aircraft display, showcasing 12 of the most innovative light business aircraft and helicopters, complementing the static display of 100 business jets at nearby Orlando Executive Airport.
Bombardier will debut its new Learjet 85 and Gulfstream will disclose more details of its new G500 and G600. Airbus is showing an ACJ319 operated by Tyrolean Jet Service. In terms of turboprops, Daher Socata will bring the TBM900 to the show for the first time. Aerion insists that supersonic travel is still alive and kicking, bolstered by endorsement from new partner Airbus Group, and will be pushing its SSBJ again.
