AND FINALLY: I nearly walked past

Last week ANTOR (The Association of National Tourist Offices) held its annual “meet the media” event on HMS President, the First World War corvette, now berthed on London’s Embankment.

Your Editor nearly walked past (metaphorically speaking).

The ship has been camouflaged as its contribution to the historical events taking place over the next four years commemorating the war.  HMS President has always been tidy on the inside, and used for weddings and conferences, but now its exterior has been dealt with.  Called 'dazzle' camouflage it looks terrific.   www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/register/494/hms-president
