Mitsubishi Regional roll-out

It has not happened yet, and these things can go wrong (remember the Dornier 728 which had a real ceremonial introduction only for the company to go bust 10 days later.  Boeing’s 787 and Bombardier’s C series first public viewings perhaps should have been delayed). 

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp has announced the “rollout ceremony” for its first MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet) on 18 October 2014.

This will take place at its manufacturing facilities in Nagoya (Japan).  The company last year postponed the MRJ’s first flight to the second quarter of 2015.  First delivery is being targeted for the second quarter of 2017.  Flight testing is expected to take place in both Japan and the US.  Orders stand at 223 including 15 for ANA and 32 Japan Airlines.  www.mrj-japan.com
