JAL’s Dreamliner

Japan Airlines has unveiled the new cabin interior to soon feature on its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

The design – branded as JAL Sky Suite 787 – will first be available on the airline's Tokyo Narita to New York service from January for the 38-seat Business Class cabin, 2+2+2.

The JAL Sky Suite 787 layout will be configured onto all subsequent deliveries of the B787-8 as well as the upcoming stretched variant, the B787-9.  Whilst not a true private suite it does offer proper separation from the passenger sitting next to you, if that is your requirement.

Also new, and introduced at the same time, is a Premium Economy product, 35 seats and 2+3+2 which has a fixed back in order for a reclining passenger not to disturb the person sitting behind.

JAL SKY wi-fi in-flight internet connection service offered on Boeing 777-300ER model planes since July 2012 will be rolled out on 787-8 model equipment starting from the end of fiscal 2014.  Passengers will be able to enjoy browsing websites, sending and receiving email, updating social networking service (SNS) statuses, and more with their own wireless LAN compatible devices from inside the plane. www.jal.com
