SkyTeam Alliance is offering its customers a new way to relax pre-flight with the opening of a yoga pilot project in its lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal 4.
The two months pilot project is available to customers flying from Heathrow on any of the 13 member airlines serving the airport. The studio will have yoga mats and a video showing a series of easy-to-follow sequences.
“Behind the design concept of each SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge is a focus on our customers’ wellbeing, taking them away from the hectic airport terminal and into a tranquil environment,” said Fatima da Gloria, SkyTeam Director Brand and Communications. “Yoga is renowned for improving the mind and body through its focus on stretching and breathing – perfect for some pre-flight fitness.”
The pilot yoga studio builds on SkyTeam’s existing two-floor facility at Heathrow, which includes a wellness centre offering a wide range of complimentary spa treatments; an oxygen bar for a pre-departure energy boost; and massage chairs.
The SkyTeam lounge in T4 used to be exclusive to Air France and contracted airlines. It is now a common lounge for travellers on all the Alliance members meeting eligibility. www.skyteam.com
