Heathrow train disruptions

Passengers using Heathrow to and from the South West and Wales should note that over the coming weeks they could face severely disrupted journeys as a result of engineering works on the First Great Western line.  Rail travellers will be affected on 19-22 August and 23-24 August which will impact on Bank Holiday travel. There will be no Heathrow Express services from 00:01 on Saturday 23 August  until 12:25 on Sunday 24 August  when normal service is set to resume. to allow Network Rail to carry out work on the Crossrail project.

National Express, the UK’s largest coach operator, is at the same time introducing a new and improved timetable from South West England and Wales to London and Heathrow Airport which equates to thousands of extra seats.  These will be available on routes to all Heathrow terminals from Wales and the South West including from Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bristol, Swindon and Bath.

National Express coaches are part of the fabric of life at Heathrow Airport and one of its major arteries of public transport with around 2.5 million passenger journeys every year from over 200 locations. www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/August2014
