Nigeria’s major city, Lagos, will have two new quality hotels by the end of the year. Just opened is the 117-room Protea Hotel Select in the upmarket suburb of Ikeja. Accommodation is provided for corporate travellers with a variety of room types as well as a comfortable restaurant, bar and conference services for up to 60 people. All rooms include mini-bar fridges, satellite TV, work stations and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, secure open parking, and laundry provision as well as free wi-fi. It is marketed under the Marriott banner.
The privately run international boutique group The Mantis Collection will shortly open its first Lagos property. The 5-star George is located in the affluent neighbourhood of Ikoyi Island.
All 62 rooms will offer the highest quality linen, towelling and guest amenities and luxury room facilities. A variety of rooms will be available including four penthouse suites.
