Nando’s at Gatwick

Nando’s has opened airside at Gatwick Airport South, the 15th new restaurant to become resident at the airport since 2011.

Recent research saw the brand hit the top spot for restaurant chains passengers would most like to visit at the airport – 33% asked for it – ensuring the airport experience truly reflects passengers’ needs the airport said.

Nando’s Gatwick will operate up to 20 hours a day – between the hours of 04:00 until the last flight – for passengers to enjoy meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner before they fly.  The new restaurant which can seat 220 passengers has also created a further 135 new jobs in the South Terminal.

Charlotte Christiansen, Business Development Manager for Catering at London Gatwick is enthusiastic: “Gatwick is thrilled that Nando’s has opened its doors to passengers today.  Nando’s is a hugely popular brand and its extensive menu is perfectly matched to airport dining as it is quick, fresh and delicious and is also complemented by the exclusive breakfast option that is available as a grab-and-go.

A recent trip through the airport indicates that short haul passengers are arriving earlier and seem to enjoy the choice on the ground rather than the limited availability in the air.   www.gatwickairport.com
