Eva Air at Terminal 2

Star Alliance has welcomed its latest arrival at Heathrow Terminal 2, The Queen's Building, Eva Air.  The Taiwan-based carrier offers a daily three-class Boeing 777 service to Taipei via Bangkok.  The lessons seemed to have been learnt from the chaotic T5 single airline move in 2008.

Passengers departing at T2 are whisked to level 5 for departures normally from level 1, the main interface with all the public transport services and the arrivals area.  Eva Air departs 21:30 daily, a very quiet time for the terminal which has a long way to go before it reaches its 20m plus capacity.  As a comparison the soon to close T1 moved nearly 14m passengers on 114,000 flights last year.  The airline uses the Air Canada Maple Tree Lounge in the satellite known as 2B overlooking the apron, accessible by a moving walkway.

“Relocating to T2 is an important move in achieving our goals,” said Charlie Pan, UK General Manager.  To be amongst the first carriers operating at Heathrow’s most progressive terminal is an honour to us and one that we feel will greatly benefit our passengers.  We are proud to be able to join T2 and use the technologically advanced terminal to provide a truly impressive service for our passengers travelling to Asia.  www.evaair.com
