easyJet has announced the release of seven new “Fearless Flyer” course dates across the UK to help even more nervous travellers overcome their phobia of flying.
From autumn courses will be run at Gatwick, Belfast, Luton, Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and Stansted airports. They are priced at £189 per person including the ‘graduation’ flight where companions can be invited for £69.
The courses are hosted by top phobia expert Lawrence Leyton, star of Channel 4’s “Fear of Flying”, and a senior easyJet pilot who together explain how an aircraft works, dispel common flying myths and teach participants a unique set of ‘mind tools’ to manage their fear.
The next day participants travel onboard a special easyJet flight to put the skills they have learnt to the test, including a full commentary in the air from a dedicated captain in the cabin.
The new dates come as the airline celebrates helping more than 1,000 people to manage their fear of flying since launching the course in late 2012.
A full list of dates and venues is given on the website. BA, Flybe and Virgin Atlantic run the occasional similar course too. www.fearlessflyer.easyjet.com
