Jet Blue ‘Mint’

Mint has been launched by JetBlue Airways as a premium service between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles using brand new A321 aircraft.  By 3 August all JetBlue flights on these routes will feature the ‘Mint’ product.  On 26 October the airline will introduce the cabin on the transcontinental San Francisco service too.

‘Mint’ features what is claimed to be the widest seat and longest fully-flat bed in the US domestic market and four private suites among the 16 seats.  JetBlue is the only airline in America and one of the few in the world to offer customers a private suite.

The Mint experience also updates one of JetBlue's best-known features, “LiveTVTM” at every seat with a 15-inch flat screen.  Customers can also enjoy complimentary Fly-Fi, JetBlue's own broadband internet service.

"This is a big day for travellers as JetBlue once again revolutionises air travel.  None of our competitors offer customers seats as wide and beds as long as Mint, private suites, customized amenity kits and tapas-styled dining.  Mint is a whole new take on flying, available at a significantly lower fare than other airline's premium services," said JetBlue CEO Dave Barger.  Fares start one way at US$599, much lower than competitors’ premium offerings.   www.jetblue.com
