Fine food for 'planes

It could be that the airlines are going to take the ‘celebrity chef’ route.  It is happening on the High Street and even with cruise ships.  All the legacy carriers like to talk about their refined in-air cuisine and some even offer a chef on board.

Tom and Henry Herbert, known also as “the Fabulous Baker Brothers”, and based way to the west of London in the Cotswolds, are now focusing their efforts into the aviation sector.  The duo have signed up with 1 Aim Asset Management, a diverse management company, very much into executive jets, to represent and promote them with regards to aviation projects.

The brothers, one a baker, the other a cook, who have their own television cookery programme which was aired on Channel 4 last year, hope to bring their brand and products to airlines and private aircraft operators.

Hobbs House Bakery, where the brothers work and teach, currently produces a range of high end quality baked goods and foods for its own chain of shops and cafes and also for well established brand names.

The bakery plans to supply high end baked goods to airlines and provide menus and recipes.  Cooking on board presents no problem and the catering school can be used for corporate days.
