The new ‘customer friendly’ Ryanair continues to make progress and has introduced a redesigned website which is definitely far easier to use. It might easily win some awards.
The other big news for Ryanair is at Stansted where the airline has introduced 13 new routes for the summer season. Athens (Greece), Basel (Switzerland), Bordeaux (France), Brive-Dordogne (France), Bucharest (Romania), Comiso (Sicily – Italy), Dortmund (Germany), Lisbon (Portugal), Osijek (Croatia), Podgorica (Montenegro), Prague (Czech Republic), Rabat (Morocco) and Skelleftea (Sweden) are all new for the Dublin-based airline.
Ryanair will operate 126 Stansted routes this summer. The airline says it is targeting 14.6m passengers in 2014 for the airport. If this figure is correct and Stansted achieves 18m it represents 81% of the throughput, which gives some food for thought.
The airline says that business and family products are coming along soon. www.ryanair.com
