CityJet at Cambridge

Dublin-based CityJet is to introduce flights from Cambridge Airport to Amsterdam and Dublin on 12 May. The Fokker 50 service will operate twice daily Monday-Friday, with a single rotation Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

From London City Airport the carrier serves both destinations, plus Antwerp, Avigon, Brest, Brive, Deauville, Dresden, Florence, Nantes, Paris Orly, Rotterdam and Toulon. At Cardiff CityJet is focused on Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey and Paris Orly.

All fares include 23kgs of hold luggage and a complimentary snack and drink service.

CityJet was established in 1992 and initially concentrated on the Dublin – London City route with the frequent services that remain to this day. In 2007 it took over VLM Airlines of Belgium and with it a fleet of 15 Fokker F50s, which rebranded it still operates. With 23 aircraft it now has the world’s largest fleet of Avro RJ85s.

At the start of the summer season CityJet reverted to a WX IATA code with an AF codeshare on both the Amsterdam and Paris routes. Managing Director is Christine Ourmières, who in a previous role was General Manager Air France, United Kingdom and Ireland. www.cityjet.com
