Terminal 2 build up

Ahead of the opening of its new Terminal 2 next month, Heathrow Airport is continuing to warm up the public, and the airlines too, on what to expect in terms of facilities when they make their initial visit.

These services include the world’s first Personal Shopping lounge at an airport, providing customers with a comfortable and private space with an accredited stylist, delivering individually tailored sessions free of charge and regardless of the ticket type.

Terminal 2 will house a number of firsts, including an airport debut for British high-street favourite John Lewis.  The airport edition of John Lewis will see a unique collection covering the best of home, fashion and gift ranges.  Also welcome is multi-award winning chef Heston Blumenthal with the opening of his newest restaurant, which boasts the first wood-burning oven in a UK airport.  The Perfectionists’ Café will cater for passengers who want exceptional food, quickly.

The Queen’s Terminal will open to the public on 4 June with a wide selection of retailers on board, from iconic British brands such as Cath Kidston and Ted Baker, through to luxury fashion houses including Bottega Veneta and Bvlgari.  This will be complemented by carefully selected restaurants, including a Seafood bar by Caviar House and The Gorgeous Kitchen – created by four local female chefs.  www.heathrowairport.com/about-us/company-news-and-information/improving-heathrow/heathrow%27s-new-terminal-2
