More free wi-fi

Jurys Inn is the latest hotel group to offer free wi-fi.  This follows a campaign by Business Travel News and other media to highlight, usually multi-nationals, who insist on charging for what should be part of the package.  You would not expect to be charged for keeping a light on.

With the case of Jurys Inns the complimentary standard wi-fi is free for all users of the properties and as an incentive the so-called Premium package, for streaming movies, gaming and large file downloading, is also available free for clients booking direct.

The roll out is across the 25 UK Jurys Inn city centre hotels following a £1.7m investment in new software and technology upgrades.

Shane Doyle, Group IT Manager, Jurys Inn, said: “In this day and age, we understand just how important it is for our guests, not only to be offered free wi-fi but to be able to easily access their emails or surf the web wherever they are.  We are constantly looking at ways of improving our guest’s experience and we’re sure they will be delighted that they can now enjoy the benefits of a quick, high quality, free wi-fi at all our UK hotels.”  www.jurysinns.com
