Flybe management changes

Exeter-based Flybe has announced a series of management appointments following last week’s unveiling of plans to operate from London City Airport.

Jochen Schnadt has taken up the role of Interim Director of White Label Business Development with immediate effect, initially on a six-month assignment.  Reporting directly to Saad Hammad, he will lead on the development of opportunities in this area, a key part of Flybe’s growth strategy as it seeks to expand wet lease services to national flag carriers across Europe.  He has been involved with similar projects for Virgin, BA and other airlines as Managing Director of an independent consultancy and has held senior leadership and commercial roles with Monarch Airlines and Aer Lingus.

Andrew McConnell commenced on 7 April 2014 as Director of Communications and Public Affairs from easyjet.  During this time he was responsible for public affairs, corporate social responsibility, and media relations.  www.flybe.com
