Starting on 1 September, Iberia will operate four weekly flights between Madrid and Uruguay. These services will connect with more than 37 European destinations and another 12 in Africa and the Middle East, via Madrid airport’s T4. The flights depart southbound on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 00:30, and arrive 07:50 (all times local).Flight time is around 13hrs competing with Air Europa, established on the route with an A330 and flying on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday with a two-class service. Iberia offers an A340-300 with Business Plus and Tourist class.
There are currently at least 12 flights daily between Montevideo and Buenos Aires with a mixture of aircraft ranging from ATR to Boeing 777, but all taking around 45 minutes. www.iberia.com
