Flight status for all

Vueling, now a sister company of both British Airways and Iberia, has introduced a flight status system that might become the standard for all air carriers.

Savvy readers will know that by typing a flight number into Google the rudimentary details come up.  But you have to know the flight number.

Vueling has taken this knowledge one step further and introduced what it calls ‘The Flight Status Manager’.  The ‘real time’ information can be picked up on a computer, portable, tablet or android/apple hand help device.

Chairman Alex Cruz has introduced the package in a New Year message to the media.

“Our goal at Vueling is all about our passengers.  Day after day, a large team of people work to constantly improve our service, from the moment the booking is made until the passengers have taken the flight.  Our main goal is to have our customers' trust.

As a journalist, you have probably noticed that we aim to keep this trust, even when things do not go exactly as scheduled.  The Flight Status Manager that we present today will allow you to follow, in real time, the status of each of our more than 500 daily departures and arrivals.” www.vueling.com
