Azores flights from London

From Saturday 30 March, SATA International will resume direct flights from the UK to the Azores.  SATA International flights will be operating every Saturday until 26 October, with early afternoon departures from Gatwick to Ponta Delgada in São Miguel, the largest of the Azorean Islands.

The weekly direct flight departing from Gatwick to Ponta Delgada on São Miguel Island takes under four hours, with prices from £336pp return (including taxes and charges).  The price includes an in-flight meal, bar service and a generous baggage allowance.

New for 2013, SATA will introduce a no charge policy for dive equipment under 15kg complementing the same policy that is already in place for golf clubs.

As an Autonomous Region of Portugal the Azores are part of the EU with the Euro as the currency.

SATA is a privately owned airline established in 1990 and offers year round schedules to Lisbon and Madeira, and summer holiday flights to Europe and North America, as well as inter-island services.  The current SATA fleet comprises four Airbus A310s, four Airbus A320s, four Bombardier Q400s and two Bombardier Q200s. www.sata.pt
