British Airways has announced the second tranche of its winter programme with new routes from Heathrow to Alicante and Rotterdam, increases in services to Gibraltar and Tel Aviv and the introduction of Airbus A321 with flat beds to mid-haul destinations.
The former bmi routes to Almaty, Amman, Baku, Beirut, Freetown and Tbilisi become new British Airways’ destinations, whilst Amritsar, Bishkek, Casablanca, Dammam, Khartoum and Yerevan are suspended. The existing services to Cairo, Jeddah, Moscow and Riyadh, which both airlines previously operated head to head, are being rationalised.
Alicante, three flights per week, starts on 28 October; Rotterdam, which is three times per day, begins on 9 December.
Readers who use any of the services noted should pay special attention to the BA website for changes in timings, and in some cases the type of aircraft used. www.ba.com/managemybooking
