Delta and the UK

Edinburgh Airport’s transatlantic connectivity will grow further next year as Delta Air Lines joins the capital to Atlanta, Georgia, the world’s busiest airport and the airline’s main hub.  Delta will also return to Gatwick next summer.

The Atlanta service will operate five times a week from 25 May to 4 September.

Delta has also confirmed it will expand its seasonal Edinburgh – Boston route to a daily service, operating from 8 May to 28 October. This is an increase on the current five times a week service.

At Gatwick it is a return to the airport, its first European destination back in 1978, with a daily Boeing 767-300 service from 10 April 2023.

Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning, Delta, said: “Next summer, Delta will give customers expanded access to popular destinations across the transatlantic, continuing to solidify its position as the number-one carrier in New York. With nearly 620 weekly flights and connectivity to 32 destinations in Europe and beyond, customers will have a wealth of iconic destinations to explore and an unmatched journey to enjoy across the pond”.
