Consumer publication Which? has been very quick to officially request a meeting with the new Secretary of State for Transport (see in this week’s BTN Transport Ministers named). It says that more than 40,000 people have already given their backing to its petition to the Transport Secretary calling for travel reforms that according to the always outspoken journal “puts passengers first”.
Which? is likely to join a queue which might include at the top of the list the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Airlines UK and the Airport Operators Association (AOA) and in alphabetical order others include ABTA – The Travel Association, Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK), British Business & General Aviation Association (BBGA), Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), The Air League, UK Inbound etc, etc. The Aviation Club has not seen an official government speaker for some time!
