Farnborough

The first wave of announcements for the Farnborough International Airshow flying display have been made. The show starts next Monday 18 July.

Aircraft participating include the Airbus A400M, Embraer E2 190, and at the other extreme Boeing Stearman plus a number of display teams.

Exhibitors will once again include aerospace giants Airbus, BAE Systems, Boeing, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies and Rolls-Royce, as well as innovators including Boom Supersonic, Lilium, Supernal, and upcoming Spirit AeroSystems who now own Bombardier Belfast.

Returning in 2022, the Farnborough International News Network (FINN) Sessions will again provide a forum to share and discuss the major trends affecting the aerospace industry today and in the future. On-floor theatres will host thought-provoking talks, panel discussions, seminars and keynote speakers providing all visitors to the show the opportunity to challenge and interact with industry leaders.

Topics include manufacturing technologies, sustainability propulsion, supersonic air travel, automation, cybersecurity and pilot training.

The Aerospace Global Forum has unveiled its five-day headline main stage programme and Pioneers of Change, with Net Zero placed at the epicentre of the agenda. (See BTN 13 June.)
