Terminal 4 to reopen *

Heathrow will reopen Terminal 4 on Tuesday 14 June.  It is the terminus for the Elizabeth line and on the Piccadilly line.

A full list of T4 airlines is detailed below but travellers are advised to check with their carrier as some may be delayed.

Confirmed is Qatar Airways who said in a short statement that its flight QR11 will be the first to arrive into T4 when the terminal reopens on 14 June.

Qatar Airways temporarily switched from Heathrow T4 to T2 following the onset of the Covid pandemic, before subsequently joining its oneworld partner British Airways in T5 in July 2020.

Heathrow has previously advised that “the remobilisation of Terminal 4 will be gradual” with Qatar Airways set to be joined by other airlines including Air Malta, El Al and Etihad, in the days and weeks following the reopening.

Qatar Airways currently operates five daily flights between Doha and Heathrow.

The reopening of T4 will mean all of Heathrow’s four operating terminals will once again be welcoming passengers for the first time since April 2020, when both T3 and T4 closed due to the global downturn in demand for flights.
