The opening has been announced of JW Marriott Istanbul Marmara Sea, south of the city in the Atakoy district. It complements the established JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus in the city centre.
The new property’s 204 guestrooms and suites are situated across 17 floors. Most offer balconies facing the Marmara Sea and Istanbul skyline, and all feature marble bathrooms with large soaking tubs, rain showerheads, flat-screen TVs, and separate working and living areas. The hotel also provides a myriad of culinary options, led by the arrival of the Michelin-starred Akira Back, known for serving Japanese cuisine prepared with Korean and international flavours.
The spa also features indoor and outdoor infinity pools, a children’s pool and contemporary Turkish hammams. The 600-person ballroom offers a picturesque backdrop of the Marmara Sea – the only ballroom in Istanbul with sun terrace access.
