London City to Deauville

Working in conjunction with Wingly, a flight sharing provider, specialist French airline L’Odyssey is to fly from London City Airport to the Normandy resort town of Deauville this summer.

The twice weekly flights, on a Friday and Sunday will be provided on a SAAB 340 which uniquely dispense with six of the 33 seats to provide maximum passenger comfort.

Founder and Managing Director, Clément Pellistrandi, said: “With L’Odyssey, we want to provide our customers with an intimate travel experience: a cosy cabin with 27 seats, very fast boarding procedures, no irritating baggage issues and reliable service. Offering time and serenity, a new luxury!”

Fares cost from £363 per sector and a flight time of 55mins.

Travel to Deauville by surface mode is either via ferry from Dover, Eurotunnel starting at Folkstone or Eurostar via Paris.

Deauville claims to be the ultimate chic beach resort on the Normandy Riviera. The thoroughbred horse fairs, the town's film festival, casino and polo matches attract celebrities and foreign visitors but was until now not easy to access from London.

The Yearling Sale, hosted in Deauville from 13–15 August, is one of the most prestigious events for horse racing enthusiasts and attracts professionals from around the world.
