Grant Shapps, Secretary of State for Transport, is to appear before the Transport Select Committee with Huw Merriman MP (Con, Bexhill and Battle) in the chair.
He will be questioned from 09:30 Wednesday 27 April with a live TV output on BBC Parliament supported by the Permanent Secretary at the Department for Transport, Bernadette Kelly.
The Committee questions are likely to range across current enquiries and issues of concern, including:
• Maritime 2050, including P&O Ferries
• Rail, including the Integrated Rail Plan and progress on Great British Railways
• Border disruption
• Roads, including the DVLA, smart motorways and e-scooters
• Buses, one year since the publication of the National Bus Strategy for England
• Decarbonisation
