United Airlines has launched its new daily non-stop service between Heathrow and Boston Logan International Airport.
This was first reported by BTN 1 November 2021 United ups London.
Boston is clearly going to be a popular destination from London this summer with JetBlue about to introduce services. (See BTN 11 April Boston – London for JetBlue.)
The big difference is the aircraft used. With United the new service is operated with Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring United’s award-winning United Polaris Business Class cabin and United Premium Plus, the products ideally suited to the aircraft. BTN reviewed the aircraft 29 July 2019 and was impressed. (See United transatlantic challenge.)
United Airlines has been serving the UK for over 30 years. The airline this summer will offer daily flights from Heathrow to Boston and its hubs at Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington/Dulles, as well as year-round service from Edinburgh to New York/Newark and seasonal service to Chicago and Washington/Dulles.
“We are excited about our all-new service between London Heathrow and Boston, which provides our customers in the UK with even greater travel choice and direct access to Boston and the broader New England region,” said Bob Schumacher, long-established Director Sales UK and Ireland. “This is a wonderful area of the United States and truly has something for everyone. We very much look forward to welcoming our customers on board this new service”.
